150bhp. That's a massive 13bhp more than standard. Why is it so hard to believe that he can get an extra 13bhp from an induction kit, exhaust and chip? Might he not be right?

Disclaimer: I have no ferckin idea what I'm on about

.....BUT, surely with those 3 mods it'd give at least 10bhp if not more?

induction kits generally lose you power, not to mention the 83,000 miles which will knock a few horses off too.

How you going to get anything useful from an exhaust?

so that leaves the chip.

I was under the impression that exhausts helped quite a bit. Was also under the impression that induction kits did not lose you power. That is certainly a new one on me! As for chips, I know nothing about them and think they're dodgy (even tho I wanna try one!) but I thought they were meant to be quite good power gains? Like chips are expensive aren't they? Like Â£500 or more? Why would someone wanna spend that money on 5bhp? Seems daft. Gotta have more of a gain than that?

But like I said, I have no idea. Just thought 150bhp was at least believable. Not like he's saying 200bhp like that other one a while back Rolling Eyes

What about the green one that keeps showing up on ebay? That has induction kit, exhaust etc etc., yet we keep hearing that its only got 120bhp or something.

You cant just say a car as standard has 137bhp, but MAX Power says an induction kit gives 5bhp, and exhaust gives 5bhp and a chip gives 5bhp therefore it must have 137+5+5+5=152bhp. Thats barryboy logic. If thats how it works, then i can start claiming mine has 160bhp. But I know damn well it doesnt.

If someone shows a rolling road printout to prove, then you can be broadly confident that theyre telling the truth (to within rolling road accuracy anyway). Other than that, its just pure guesswork (bullshit).

They sound nice, but all that lovely warm air they suck in from the engine bay doesnt do much for the power output...

I agree totally with you Neal. Just saying that you & docherty were pretty quick to be like "bullllshiitt" about this car, as if getting an extra 13bhp is an unbelievable achievement and almost impossible.

Yes and I stand by that.

I stand by my decision too, and for the same reasons a Neal.
If that car has had nothing else done, I.e Head work ect. then not a fucking chance.

must of been under the same name on the digi cam, and when i uplaoded all my new pics, it over wrote it.

and i was back there as i had just come off a 5 mileish full kit run, and was dinner time, so weapons were kept in block, as we needed them for after.

and yes, thats pirbright when i was doing my basic.
