off a clio.
Picking up my magnex cat back exhaust today, i have been told of people they fit stright on, and of others they wont... whats the deal, anyone know if it will go straight on?
mines a mk1 RT - i know the bends are the same and lengths, just the bore people seem to get confused about.

mine is the same, you need a conical gasket like the one thats on the downpipe to manifold join. |

cooool, how do i go about fitting the gasket, does it just use the force of tightening it to hold it in place?

well you need to get the right gasket, I have trouble doing this.
The previous owner of my decat clearly had the same issues and packe dotu the very large gap with exhaust paste.
The gasket goes over the bit that protudes on the downpipe its cone shaped so it fits in the decat nicely then you just bolt it up.
if you can find the supplier of the right ones let me know |

im taking it down to my local garage tommorow to see if they can make something up, will let you know if i can get any info from them regarding the gaskets.

Got anothe rflat faced one in the shed but its only the front half which is annoying. |

i see, might just have to fit mine from the cat back for the time being, allthough i really did want the decat!
