It's funny how often we hear things from the mouth of some expert who 'works at Renault' that is complete rubbish... makes you think that they don't know what the fuck they're on about at Renault

Explains a lot actually.

I was at euro today cos gsf didn;t have my handbrake cables, anyway in there and theres a ren mechanic there buying parts!

ren get their bits from euro! lol he also didn't have a clue if it was the right one.

euro guys are idiots, I asked for 16V handbrake cables, it says you have a 1.4, good for it, I can;t sell you a 16V one if you have a 1.4. i then caslled him and idiot and that got thinsg moving.

still none in stock but pick em up tomorrow.

You so missed out on it

4 people building an engine in complete silence, it was like some magical mystical choreographed floaty dance with spins and nods and bops and twirls

Wonderous

all that was needed for a suspense drama was a camera crew, some choice music, close ups on the sweat on our foreheads etc.

no it's the crank that gives the majority of the capacity increase, but it just wont clear the insides of the 1.8 block.

cant you get new bores making it 2.0 without using a different crank?

nope, the bores are too close together, williams/meg bore is only 0.7mm over and that's about as much as you're going to get, not worth the effort and expense, considering you also need to get pistons to fit.

you cant do it using the 1.8 block. I mean you might be able to, but it would be well dodgy.
