You won't regret going that route Smile

Look on ebay for people breaking 21T's they are rare.

You will also need about 8 m12 x 1.25mm x 40mm bolts then you are away Smile

Out of interest does anyone know what type of caliper the TXi uses? Why can't you use that on the setup? It looks like it would be bigger than the 21T because the caliper leaves about 1cm un braked area.

just a quick one. will my existing brake hoses match up to 21t hubs. i.e. length and fitting

also is it worth changing the front brake hoses to braided ones whilst im messing about with the brakes or just leave it as it is

They should be ok, just get them asap as they are pretty damn rare.

Not hard to free up. One of mine was siezed, garaged sorted em both for £25. New seals, free'd up sliders and pistons. Sorted. I packed some extra copper slip in the sliders just in case Very Happy

Copper grease isn't a lubricant. Better off using normal grease on the sliders.

welll i think for the time being i am going to just keep my existing 16v calipers and carriers and use the 21 TXi discs

what i would like to know is what is the distance between the bolt holes that hold the carrier to the hub is it 82mm?

thanks for all the help guys and advice

well managed to source the caliper carrier and bolts for a bloke for the 21 turbo club so just waiting for them to arrive probably sometime at the begining of next week.
i have also sourced some TXi disc for 25 quid for the pair so thats good

next step is to find someone in portsmouth to fabricate the spacer brakets and to buy some pads.

then will fit the parts and then should stop a little quicker. lol
will post some pics when its all done.

just like to say thanks for the help
