The should have been one, been listening to radio 1 all day and nothing was on there

There has been lots of discussions on sky news, and various ceremonies.

aye 5 years. I mind when I first heard about it.

My sisters ex boyfriend (Andy) and I were picking my sister up from work, listening to Clyde 1. They just said the twin towers had collapsed, not that it was terrorism related.

Was about 5 to 4 in the afternoon.

Only when I got home did you see what had happened.

Everyone had a few distant relations there that day.

Terrorists are pathetic people

I was driving home, so got it all on the radio.

The second one was the real shock.

We all said that the world had changed.

And it did on that day.

True Chris,

I was at my last job, had people in offices there. Watched it all unfold on the news. Then came the false alarms in London, some of Canary warf was evacuated. Some of our staff left the offices and went home, terrible times. we had 50+ people in our office watching it all in complete silence

only reason there was world wars was due to the fact that armies could be mobilised in great numbers to pretty much anywhere int he world.

We had advanced beyond steam and conquered the air.

It would have happened long before if the armies could have been mobilised.

More recent wars like vietnam which were in the age of tv's in every home brought war to the living room.

If anything happens the world will hear about it now.

He predicted world wars, and that early in the 21st Centuary the world would change as we know it.

I was off work, in my bedroom painting with the radio on and heard them going on about something so turned the TV on to watch just as the second tower got hit!

Was mad...never did finish that painting.

Have read a few conspiricy stories surrounding it about controlled demolition style explosion that brought them down...but we'll never know.

mind you,if we never had the world wars, we wouldnt be where we are today, excluding terrorism of course, they're just nutters with no respect of human life whatsever, what always makes me laugh is the thing about becoming "martyrs". these suicide bombers, etc..... getting trained to become "martyrs" by people who obviously dont want to do it themselves, so pray on the easily influenced ones...

i was reading something about the conspiracy theories on the WTC, and they were right, that there would have absolutely hundreds involved in it, so to keep that under wraps would be nigh on impossible......... even tho you all pobably think im talking bollocks....

They are not realy nutters in a way, at least not more than the Irish.

But they are a huge percentage of the world population.

They have a religious code that keeps them in line.

Solutions.

religion the root of all evil. We have had this debate before.

irelands a whole different kettle of fish. Take Jan 1972 for example, bloody sunday. That is what really kicked the whole IRA mass violence campaign off, and with good reason. Parachute regiment killign 13 innocents, shooting them in the back etc.

Cold blooded murder, these people were no threat.

Ireland should be given back to the irish.

The Brittish Empire died long ago, trying to hold on to little outposts just causes trouble, Northern Ireland, the Falklands etc etc

Wars not terrorism are a vital component to the advancement of the species. If there was no first world war there would be no continental flights, no radio, no tv, microwaves etc etc.

Best way to advance technology is to find more efficient ways of killing each other.

they seem to like it here dont they? especially as we give them everthing they want, then they wonder why people start getting racist, and do you notice when crimes are committed, 9 times out of 10 you cant even pronounce their names, or they shouldnt have been here in the first place?

I have to say, the UK would be a very quiet place.

55k Polish people have came to scotland in the last 2 years, they come over happily do 14 hour shifts and work for min wage. Result is no jobs for the original people who have to pay full whack for living expenses!
