Right, my ABS was working at the weekend, went out today, started it to check my exhaust, and noticed the ABS light stayed on, so i pushed the pedal and it was hard, but went to the floor. so i checked the fluid, i topped it up, light still on, tested them on the drive, it stops, but locks up.
no wires going to the pads.

bendix ABS = Crying or Very sad

while you had the engine out you should have ripped out all the ABS shite and ditched it in the bin where it belongs.

ok, im being a bit harsh, you might be able to fix it... but in the long run it would be better to just get rid of it.

Why to the scrappy? Get a normal master cylinder and get rid of the ABS.

well i was looking at that being the easy option, how easy isit to get rid of the ABS, and stick in a normal system? is it feasable to stick a ph2 ABS system in? what will i have to get rid of and put in with a normal system?

do what you want.

We already told you what to do.

And don't text me again about it, I was sleeping so never saw it but I said emergencies and your ABS system doesn't concern me really.

If the cars cut out on the outside lane of the M1 then you can phone as thats an emergency.

ABS system is bollox and even a monkey could outbrake an ABS 19 with a anormal one.

ok, sorry Chris.
so is it possible for a ph2 ABS ECU and pump etc to be put in? when you say rip it all out, what needs to stay? obviously calipers etc etc, but as far as the ABS system?

swapping to a ph2 ABS setup means re-wiring and so on.

to dump the ABS, get the non ABS pedal box, servo amnd master cyl, shame you don;t live here cos I have them.

Then just extend the pipes a bit and job done.

if you were to post them, im happy to pay postage, isit going to mean engine out again? i hope not, i checked the fluid again today, its dropped a about half the master cyl, but i cant see any leaks its been raining. im suspecting a caliper flexi hose, so i'll renew those, this wouldnt be causing the problems?
It didnt seem as if it had dropped from before, but it definatly has over night, so im not being a right tit in the fact i havent checked the fluid
