Quick question.......

Fitting 17" wheels to an R19 16v........improve handling or make it worse? Or no different?

imo i think it made it slightly worse over 15"s, but if you lower it on 17's it will be better. thats what i have done.

15's are better.

Although I got better fuel consumptionon the 17's. And lighter steering.

I also ended up having to get dents in the wheels straightened due to motorway seams and the general shite condition of scotlands roads. Englands are far better.

Okay cool, so lowering it and leaving it on the 15's would be a good option? I spoze not touching it at all would also be a good option lol, not as if it's a bad handling car to start with!

the best handlign one is one with new suspension all round. As standard they are hard to beat on the public highway. Lowering with big wheels makes them to jittery.

But then again i drive quickly.

mine is better lowered with 17" superleggeras than with standard 15s.

Depends a lot on the particular wheels though I would say. Standard 15s are a lot heavier than 17" superleggeras, but i dont know what it would be like with lightweight 15s or heavy 17s
