would 15inch 100pcd alloys with 205/55/r15 tyres fit my r19 1.8 rt with no problems .the car is not lowered or anything .
would any disadvantages occur ?

They would no doubt fit, but I would advise changing your tyres as soon as you get the chance to 195/50/15

Your speedo would also under-read a bit from standard

why did you say 195/50/15 would be better ? what sort of problems would the 205/55/15 s cause ?

they would look ridiculous, probably have rubbign problems and handle crap.

195/50 15's are what the 16V's run and give the best handling

righty ,i found some alloys with 195/50/15tyres .have not seen the alloys yet they are 5 spokes in white as the owner said on the phone . if i do remember right ,they are of a nissan micra or a mazda ,most probably original alloys or something .
anybody got any idea what they would look like ??
and would they fit the renault as the guy on the phone said it would ??

or i am going to nick a set of these soon

yes after 5 spokes for the last century ,just managed to find this one cheap as well . the guy on the phone told me they would fit a renault,he was confident .
i will try one of the wheels on my car before buying them i suppose .

Micras are 4x100 like you 19 so no problems with the bolts. Offset might be an issue mind you.

Also the Micra centre bore is only 59mm as opposed to 60 on the 19 so if theyre OE wheels they wont have removable spigots... and wont fit.

i will see the wheels on tuesday hopefully,it should be allright as long as one of them fits on ,yeah ??
is there a way to inspect dodgy or bent alloys as well??

If one fits, they will all fit yes.

you can see if its bent when youve got it on, just spin it when its off the floor! OE alloys are VERY hard to bend though.

I have a bent ph1 alloy which is an arse

the steelies are easy to bend though.

I've got a set of phase1 alloys in the garage. Could do with a refurb but pretty good on the whole.

right guys need help here

they will fit.

Soneji and I saw a couple of weeks back a red ph2 with clio flat spoke alloys on it. looked ok.
