a drill and a stud extractor (EZout), if theres not enough left sticking out for you to grab hold of with mole grips.

drill and stud extractor are not gonna work.

Take the disc off and use grips on them or if you can hacksaw a flat in it and unscrew it.

i assume they were renault silver bolts with the built on conical washer?

Taking the disk off is pretty easy, will probably have to remove the caliper to get it right off, but thats only 2 bolts and another 2 holding the disc on.

no just unbolt the caliper and tie it to the suspension spring out of the way...so you dont have to dissconnect the brake line at all.

JB they weren't renault bolts then. the old wheel bolts I have even been able to drill or get drilled have been locking wheel nuts. The renault ones are super tough, thats why they snap.

Schakal get the disc and the caliper off then see what you can do.

cancelled the operation now , i fucked my neck ,probably pulled a muscle or something, its really painfull . i wont be able to do the job at the moment .but nothing can keep me away from seeing my new alloys on the car today.
i took it to a scrap yard garage ,that was well funny ,he said i cross threaded them and he suggests that the whole front section inc. the hub and drive shaft has to be replaced just because of one fucking bolt ,he has got a ph1 r19 in the yard and he wants to use that front section and hub on my car ,he says he will charge me about 50-60 depends on the work .i said i will have to go to the town before i drop the car in for the job. i takes off leaving him messing with the old renault 19 ph1 s drive shaft and all . so all the parts will be ready for my return . i think this is a good punishment for him .

took it to another proper garage this time ,the guy says most citroen and renaults have similar incidents ,he will drill it and tap it out then put a new thread in if its crossthreaded and new bolt of course .that will cost me 25 quid inc vat .
anyway i cant be arsed to do the job even i had to pay a 100 for it to be done ,i am in real pain now.
how likely am i to crossthread it ????

cross thread a wheel bolt? Dunno I suppose if your a robot with a few hundred ftlb or torque going through your wrist then yeah you may be able to force it in hard enough for it to crossthread.

Its not cross threaded, the bolt has just broke, normally snap when you undo themn but I have done a few tightening them up.

anyway....anything can be drilled....just need the right drill bit.

still could not get the alloys on abd dont have the time tomorrow either ,not happy

yeah i skived today at work gone to the car park and swapped my old 13 inch wheels with the new alloys in 25 mins and went back to the office like nothing has happened ,hehehe.

thats nothing. I regularly disappear from what im doing at work for an hour or more, to go and sit and listen to some music, read a magazine etc. There's a million and one little hidey holes at my workplace which are good for that sort of thing. Plus noone really knows what anyone else is meant to be doing.
