mate of mine rang last night hoping i was free to help...cambelt gone! DOH!

the usual killer...RIP

it was a R21 1.9D...so if it is buggered, ie if any valves have bent, he is binning it....so if anyone wants any parts i can salvage for you...let me know asap!!!

what gearbox is on them?

1.9 21 diesel? Wasn't aware they existed.

if its the f8q then it will be a JB3 or a JC5

I was sure it was a 2l diesel and longitudally mounted

the 1.7's were transverse though.

so if it is longtidual its 2.0, transverse 1.7...ill find out...

right its a transversely mounted jobby and its definately goin to the scrappy as its fucked...it was a free car for him so he cant be arsed to fix...

so if anyone wants anything i can get them for you...

but i think it is safe to assume he will...who doesnt.

is a box on these diesels ok to get out without moving the engine? ie not like a valver?

as usal and for the billionth time you don;t need the engine out to take the box off a valve, done it on grahams cab with BOSCH ABS still fitted in the car at the beginning of the week.

it is easier with the engine out though.

well most seem to struggle...ok put it this way then...is access any better in this car?

thing is tho...if i remove it..there will be nothing left to hold the engine up right as i have removed amounting position...thats not good if he has to tow it to eh scrappies

right its starting to turn into a "for sale" item...any one want the whole thing for cheap? 21 D green....cambelt gone....cheap as chips.....
