Any ideas what I should do next

Right hear we go my valver is idling erratically it goes from 1000 up to 1200 revs up and down. If I put my foot of the throttle and take the revs to 2000 and keep it there the needle will go up and down at 2200 same thing when its idling. The oil pressure is only up on 4 to 5 notches on the dial is the good ??

I have put on a new cat, oxygen sensor, plugs, ht leads, rotor arm and the dis cap also I have cleaned out the ICV and the throttle body also set up the tp with the multimeter checked all the injectors they are fine.

Is there anything I have miss out I am at the end of my tether

first thing woudl be lambda sensor. Is the exhaust leaking before the sensor? i did see you have replaced it btw.

4/5 notches is fine on the gauge.

The TPS plug, is is plugged fully home? I had a similar thing which I thought the lambda had buggered up but it was the TPS connector not being fully clicked home.

you sprsay the injectors with wd-40 to see if they are leaking?

thanks for the reply Chris could not do anything to the car today had to go shopping with the woman bang go my money. Starting work on her tomorrow got some spraying to do then she's ready for mot. I had to have the paint specially made at the local paint factors cost me Â£30 for 3 cans. hopefully she will be ready for mot dreading it do you think I should leave the side skirt off to show the mot tester that I have nothing to hide???

nah put the skirt back on, he'll fail it for dangerous body work due to exposed clips or something!

I checked out the injectors injector no 2 is leaking badly I took the rail off the injectors look if they have been battered about I have swapped the seals about and it is still leaking I have had a look about for a new injectors and a rail at all the local scrappy's and on ebay no luck I don't fancy paying reno for them is there anyone on this forum can supply me a good set ???

i got a fuel rail and a couple of injectors lying around but not a complete set.

You sure the rail needs replacing?

I have had a good look at the rail on the inside where the injectors go there are marks from where the top metal part on the injector has been press in looks like someone has been using a hammer to put the rail back on also the some of the injectors are damaged on the top but no 2 injector leaking badly.

I have found a scrappy that has a phase 1 on a J plate had a look at the injectors there are green are they any different to my yellow ones on the phase 2 ??? if not I have yours

greens are slightly different but not enough to cause a problem.

I have sorted the leak out I have put on a set of yellow injectors off Dan who is a member here. Its sound like a tractor the whole car vibrates when idling and the rev needle is is doing the same thing going from 1000 to 1200 up and down.
