Are the brake hoses the same for 19 16v and clio?

why? 20 quid for all new rubber pipes, just as good as them.

I know what your saying Chris but from what I've read there suposed to firm up the braking a little.

I just thought I'd try them out to see for myself, or are you saying there a complete waste of money?

they only firm the pedal up if the rubber ones are knackered.

The rubber hoses are not just rubber pipes, they have a liner, then a rubber braided membrane then the rubber.

The steel ones are the same but have a liner, rubber then an outer metal braid.

So only time they are better is when the rubber ones are shot.

Also they can wear through anything very quickly, seen a few hole sin floor pans/struts from where they rub, same with braided hoses in the engine bay, they can machine their way through cam covers quickly.

Also you can't clamp them.

tbh I would stay with rubber.
