milage is important for door cards, seats ect just genral ware and tare milage dont mean fook all as the 04 corsa no's Laughing

How is this chammy 'fucked' then? It looks bodily tidy enough from the pictures, and the only mechanical things mentioned are the head (spare included) and something about the dash. Hardly 'fucked'. Would you say it is more fucked or less fucked than your hatch was when you got it? All the fuss over 1 previous owner, this chammy only has 2!

If someone could get it for Â£75, it would probably be worth it wouldn't it?

well the heads duff after 70k, that means its nto only been neglected its been very badly abused, doesn't it?

Mechanically my hatch is fine, biggest problems on it were due to the tap in water pipe on the head leaking.

rest is bodywork due to where the car was parked, the fact the scrappers moved it with a forklift (thus scratching the mofoing thing), the engine doesn't leak oil so there was no nice protective engine inmduced anti rust agent applied.

So its more fucked than the hatch or any of my cars are actually.

technically it was never broken to that degree. It drove and stopped fine, I pulled the engine to bin the ABS and chaneg the clutch (damaged by the leakign pipe).

The bodywork however is 'broken'

Well why was your hatch sent to the scrappy after 68k then? Doesn't that also imply neglect/abuse?

anyway this is all besides the point, I persoanlly think this chammy could be good if it's cheap enough, end of.

tbh mate I reckon the owner died. Passed the house where it lived not long ago and its now over run with kids, the address on the v5 was there and hes not there.

The thing was out of tax by a month when i got it and there was a chance it was still mot'd but due to beign a new keeper i couldn't check that out as you need the old ref number on the old v5.

So yes it was neglected and abused by the owners suspected death.

i never said the chammy wasn't worth having I just said it was fucked, engine is as is more than likely the rest of the drivetrain.

there are many factors why it ended up there, rust most prob because of the price to fix and for the money they could of spent bought a better car, car could of been stolen and recovered after a pay out, owner could of died... list is endless... i hope the hatch goes to someone that will finish it and make it a mint example once again as it deserves aswell as the chammy, and because the head gasket goes that dont mean shit as materials ware away in time so after many years it could of simply failed....

I have always wanted a black one.. was thinking of making a project out of it.. however i never went to look ate it. Wanted to get one and have the 2.0 willy engine and the Turbo.. Not sure yet as I have to persued the missis. She will come round.. (Mike rushes to the shops to buy flowere wine and chocolate... Smile
