 battery drain

help battery drain alternator checked thats ok,starter motor checked thats ok,battery lasts for about 6 days then flat but nothing left on when engine switched off,when running it is charging.everything seems to be working fine.

well you obviously have a drain or the batteries duff, dead cell maybe.

What to do is turn everything off then get the multimeter in. Take the neg lead off and put 1 probe to the neg lead and the other to the battery and the meter set on current and see what the drain is.

It should be under an amp.

yep done that new batt,i am going to change the batt terminals,like u suggest in the electrical forum cause what u say there sounds spot on to the problem i'm having,if i didn't know any better i'd say it was my car u were talking about.
