the energy 1.4 carbed engine was 80bhp.

energy will also rev to 8 grand and with headwork and the right fueling will crack 100bhp happily

so chris what else can I do to my engine thats fairly cheap to add a few horses? Its already got a bodged pipercross induction kit on it (hose from cold air feed taken off,pipercross joined to where the cold air feed tube joined) something that dosent cost too much and can be done easily? I have seen those things on ebay that gaurantee you 20 more bhp by clipping a little box or something onto something on your engine bay,but surely they wont work...

they don't work.

headwork is the best option for your engine apart from making sure its runnign at its optimum.

I assume its the injection version?

Other than that an engine change. I have yet to see an energy equiped 5, thats 1390cc to the 5 engines 1397cc and has 20bhp more out the box.

yeh,thats a bugger.headwork is costly.am planning on dropping the rear of the interior out to lighten it a bit.

the interior in the 5 isn't worth removing on the campus models, it weighs feck all!

Look at getting a 1.4 clio mate, big step up and only grp 4 insurance!

hmmmm,Im sure theres no difference between a bottom of the line and an RT on insurance? cos the RT has the energy engine hasent it?

all cliso have the energy engine except the 1.1's and the later 1.2's have the diet lumps.

The clios can be had cheap if you search enough.

The 5's nice and all that but the clio is better, rt, door speakers! remote locking, leccy windows etc etc

yeh,I loved my mate RT.he ragged it and didnt look after it,such a shame.had only done 17k when he picked it up and was still mint and by the time he finished it had 40k,three large dented panels,leaky sunroof and a smashed back bumper!

Yeh,ive heard.he only sold it for 300 which was a shame cos I would have taken it off his hand as it was rust free.
