anyone know how to get Blancmange to set solid? mine always semi-sets.....

semi skimmed, its solid to about 3/4 of the way through, then its still mushy liquid, its been in the fridge all night

on the same kind of subject, jelly, takes about 18 times as long to set now as it did when they had gelatine in it as the setting ingredigent (hence the name jelly)

But they have removed gelatine and replaced it with a non animal based product so that thier product can also be enjoyed by vegetarians.

Gelatine of course is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals.

anyone done milk jelly before? thats quite tasty, but there is a knack to that.....

i will try whole milk and see if thats solves the problem.... thought i may be boiling the milk to quickly or something silly like that. one of the few desserts i can eat and enjoy without being ill, like burgers, i have to have 100% beef burgers, not tesco/asda/etc own crap

well, its an improvement, but i think i wont put it in the fridge next time, maybe cooling it too quick.........
