Never been pulled before, but I was tonight.

On my way to get some fuel for the valver, down a single track back road - there is a car coming towards me with its lights on full beam. I flash it because it was dazling me and the car pulls over. I realise as I pass it its a Police car. Next thing I know its turned around (I think because I didn't see it), I'm quite a way in front doing 60mph (I'm hardly going to be speeding, am I?).

Anyway, can't see him anymore so pull into the petrol station and start fueling up. Next thing Police Car (Proton) comes screaching into the Petrol station (I mean is there any need) and says he wants a word when I'm done filling up.

I get in next to the Copper he says he was looking for a suspcious car and mine fitted the discription (bollocks, you just want reasonable cause to stop me).

THEN he goes on about me speeding - I was like, I've just seen a Cop Car, I'm in a tax/tested/insured car - why would I? I never went above 60. "Still too fast for the road conditions" - What, a dry evening well above freezing? So he says he's in a right mind to do me for driving without due care - WTF?

I said if I knew he was following me I would have stopped "Did you not see me flashing my headlights?" - Is that normal police procedure for stopping cars? "Why didn't you use your blue lights, I would have pulled over straight away if I'd seen them" - No comment.

He also says "I've seen your car driving irraticaly around the village" - bloody thing hasn't gone for 5 weeks and before that I used to to commute to work on a weekend!

So pretty damn annoyed, "I'll let you off this time" speech. All because the twat had his full beams on.

To cops you're just another young ned in a fast car driving everywhere at 100 mph, and it's only a matter of time before you crash into a school minibus. Rolling Eyes

If I wa a copper I'd personally crack down on the 'fashion' at the moment for having your fog lights on all day every day in all weathers.

In fact it's now gone further than that, I regularly see twats driving around at night with their foglights on, and only their sidelights, and more recently still, foglights on and headlights off completely.

Yeah same around here Neal - tho funnily enough when it was foggy - there was people driving around with just sidelights (parking lights ffs) on!

I'm not sure whats worse, neds driving with foglights on or biddys driving in fog with them off!

Don't get me started on the fog light thing.

Everyone, and i mean EVERYONE who has fog lights round me drives with them on.

I have taken to flashing them all with my own fog lights in the hope they will realise how much they piss other road users off.

and that is why a lot of ppl drive around with only their side lights and front fog lights on, to show off thier coloured side lights which are illegal by the way.

LEDs are everywhere!

washer jets, tyre dust caps (they make a glowing circle as u drive along), number plate screws, door handles, aerials etc

does anyone remember the retro way we used to do it years ago, the blue dot?

hehe

Apparently, or so I've heard, the copper in question is just a special?

That might explain the lack of blue lights, are they not allowed to use them?
