When taking the rear beam off I struggled to get them off as they were very badly corroded. To the extent that they are still on there.

can I just get a couple of new ones and add them onto the end of the existing pipe...just snip the old ones off and use the rest of the brake line from the new beam.

What did you do outa interest?

I havemnt managed to find a sensible sized tool for flairing the brake pipe so that it can be done on the car, and did you end up cutting the pipem wiht snips, and hance crushing it, or with a proper pipe cutter

i suppose you can cut the pipes with a junior hacksaw without crushing it ,or a decent halfords file would do the same job Idea

Yes you can do the baby hacksaw thing. exactly as I have. Not happy about it, bodging brakes does not make me a happy bunny. Especially when you test the brakes and fluid pisses out everywhere.

I'm either buying new ones or ideally tring to flair the ends first but there is no suitable tool in my garage (a bit poor concidering my dad was an aircraft engineer for 20 odd years) to do such a task so again bodgit time. TBH I may well let the garage sort this one or see what nick the pipes on the ph2 being broken are like.

Also the rear brake pressure adjuister thingy looks like a solid block of rust!
