ive just fitted a new engine to my 19 and on the new engine by the dizzy cap was a black metal vacuum pipe with a blank on it, i also had a loose pipe from the brake area right near it so i assumed it connected to the vaccum hose and that it came from the servo, now the brakes feel practically solid.

i cant compare to how it was as i bought the car with no cylinder head, does anyone know if this is right or not?

cheers les

i also cant select reverse for some strange reason havnt looked at it yet but anyone have any ideas on that?

ahh thats why, i think its just because my discs are a bit rusty im going to give them a few days to clean up.

also fixed the gear linkage it was catching the exhaust heat shield, just have to clean up the sticky throttle body and extract the couple of bloody snapped wheel bolts and then she will be ready for the dreaded mot.
