Broekn wheel nuts.

Woo hoo, less than 24 hours after buiyng my Valver and already she's off the road.

My own stupid fault but annoying none the less.

So basicaly I was swapping the wheels over and changed one side fine, then go to change the drivers side wheel and two of the bolts have sheared off inside the disc rotor. The other two came out ok.

How the hell am i going to get them out? Can I just replace the disc rotor? Or do they need to be drilled?.

try and tap them out using a nice sharp punch onto the edge of what remains of the bolt, worked for me, otherwise easyouts or painfully slow and carefull drilling.

Worked for me too. Took about an hour to get it out mind!

is it flush with the disc face or the hub flange?

if the disc face take th ecaliper an disc off and to should be ok with grips to get it out the hub.

If not then drill it out carefully.

a new hub flange is over 120 quid from ren.

go 2ndhand.

there was a couple of brand new genuine ren hub flanges on ebay the other day...

Yee just had a look and they're slightly sheared off behind the disc rotor face. I do have access to a welder if that is any help.

right thats the crapo way they break.

get the welder, weld a nut to the broken stud then it will unscrew. Easiest quickest way tbh.

take the hub off and see what you can do then.
