You should go to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Awesome, simply awesome.

At first you think "wow thats ENORMOUS", then when you look around and read all the display boards and things, you see how the architecture is all mathematically and geometrically worked out.

So that's one thing that religion is good for, it inspires people to create things like this.

now I'm not bored or anything... but theres loads of wee jobs I just kept putting off due to shear laziness tbh.

Like the entry to the living room. It had looked like this for ages, note the actual door strip is just lying on the laminate

Image

shamefull yes. I know as is the fact i still haven't sorted out the door checks thats why they are blue, the will get sorted in the future.

anyway so I need to cut a bit to fit.

Image

had to cut it to length then I also had to cut it to depth.

so i done that, fitted the underlay as well

Image

the gaps 23mm.

Why leave a gap? For the door strip. Why not fit it now? Well I have cut it to length but the drills up my flat so I need to get that to stick it down.

Down the bottom of the hall as you enter but behind the door is where the electricity comes in, now theres a fusebox thats a mess and then a breaker box as well, the fusebox is high up but the breakers are at knee level.

This was meant to get boxed in and it will but I want to keep things tidy so I done a bit of plastering.

this is what it looked like

So I plastered around it and down the side of the vertical rad and along the top of the skirting. The grey plastic can be cut back quite a bit so i'll do that , the wire only sticks out about 15mm from the wall so i can tidy it up a bit more then see how bad it is or what can be stuck in front of it to prevent us having to box it out, I hate boxing things out

I done quite a lot of plastering at Georges his bathroom is especially good. The plan at his is to drop ceilings, plumbing etc much like I did here at my mums.
