The blue one is parttially stripped, it hadn't been started in about a year. No battery, terminals, idle control valve hose etc. I soon sorted those probs out and got it running though.
Still needs to get the driveshaft etc put back on right and so on.
Of course I now have no car because the chamade is once again taking the piss so I need to pop the engine out from the look of it to replace the rear mount and sort out the front one which is now broken.
Pile of shite.
Best 19's are 1.4's no question. |

this bin of shites the most unreliable renault I have had.
2 rear engine mounts, 2 burst coolant hoses, cooling system thats needs bled every trip, new tyres getting fucked, using a litre of oil in 1100 miles, slow, fucking heap. |

normal is regarded as a litre per 1 k mile sbut I have never seen one thats used that much without a leak. Mine has a small leak round the back but not enough to cause that much loss!
The red cars slowly gaining my affections. |

I think you should put one of your spare valver engines in the red one. You need to get rid of those "Prima" decals though, they make it look a tad tacky! |

I know what it's like Chris, with the car having lots of annoying niggling little faults, fixing them and then sprouting new ones in their place.
It's been a long hard struggle but i've gradually whittled mine down to the rattling exhaust, wonky steering/tracking, dodgy passenger door central locking and of course the ever present arch-nemesis of the vanishing coolant, which I am starting to think I will have to concede defeat on.
Don't let it beat you. |

ahh..
i tell you the worst thing tho, is having a dent in your car.
its so dishearterning (sp?)
possibly why i havent botherd doing any work on the car yet.
still running not very nice, oil pressure light flickerd on and off the other night at idle
just another problem. first time it did it, and it hasnt done it since, so will leave it for a tad.
but the dent!! grr its so so annoying could of hit someone when i did that !!
anyways my rant over hehe
gonna have to make plans to at least go in a valver soon. so i know first hand what there like..
yes that means i havent been in one before |

driving one of them valvers must be a nice feeling neal ,you would not know as you allready have too .
even my 1.8 rt feels quite fast sometimes with that limited 95bhp and i really want to know what sort of pleasure 137bhp would give the mankind .
in fact i am after a white hatch at the moment ,it will be a real daylight robbery if i can make her mine |
