started the chammy up today and there is a constant buzzing sound coming from probably the ICV(its a noise like the fuel pump makes ) , is that possible ?
and what can be the cause of this ?

chris ,i read your ICV cleaning article .nice one

by the way after 7-8 mins of idling ,i have noticed a wee bit of water vapour coming from the radiator surface ,is that a sign of ferked radiator ?

cheers

the aux water pump might be running all the time. The ICV can make a buzzing noiuse but it shouldn't be!

As for the radiator, it can be a sign but if the cars been standing then it can do it and its been rainign it can do it water just evapourating off it.

the pump comes on when the ignition is turned off or when the battery is re-connected, should stay on for 8 mins only if not just unplug it.

if it stays on then the board may have dodgy solder joints on it or the timer has gone up the spout.

done a check today ,with an without the ICV ,the noise is still there mind you there is not an airfilter on the car plus the black pipe going into the throttle is in 2 pieces .

it sounds more like a suction noise rather than buzzing now ,i am confused Confused

by the way took the cambelt cover halfway out to see the top of the cambelt ,looks like a brand new belt but a bit loose ,is that normal ?
i know loose doesnot mean much without seeing how loose it is ,will try to get pics tomorrow
