Hi there, my clio is hitting nearly 68k now and as far as I know the cambelt hasn't been renewed (sketchy service history). So I'm looking at getting this done sooner rather than later.

It's a '98 Clio Biarritz 1.2, anyone know roughly how much I should be expecting to pay for this?

Also are there any garages round the Glasgow area you could recommend to do this?

I'm also getting a knocking sound coming from the driver side when turning left at low speeds, it's been suggested that it could be a CV joint problem, any ideas how much this could be to fix if that is the problem?

Many thanks in advance

Our Chris H is in Glasgow. Im not sure if he is accepting work at the moment, but he would be the BEST person to do any work you need on the car, certainly much better and cheaper than any garage.

Knocking noise would be the CV joint. Ill second Neal, Chris H is your man if he'll do the job.

Yep I'll do the work.

Is it a ph3 clio 1 or a clio 2?

What lumps in it the diet engine or the energy?

Where in glasgow are you?

It's a ph3 I believe, and looking at the haynes the engine is a d-type so I assume that's diet ?

Just really looking to see what it will cost. Won't be able to afford any work until after crimbo tho (poor student)

I'm in Bellshill, bout 10miles from city centre

Cheers
