Right, just starting to prep my car for the dreaded MOT.
It's not for another month, but best give myself lots of time just incase.

First check, front tyres, 6mm on the outside 0mm on the inside.
Have lasted for a grand total of 10 months.

So before i shed out for another pair of tyres, i want to stop this from happening again.
Best way would be to raise the car back up to standard height, but this would mean buying new springs and i dont think the torsion bar is ever going to budge again.

So, camber correction bolts seem the way to go, but where can i get them from? and will they fit the standard struts?

Anyone used these before?

Cheers!

Clio 16v

Lowered with springs on standard shocks

Have found some camber bolts now from K-Tec
£47 delivered . . . ouch, wasnt expecting that.

May go down the raising route again.
Would never lower a car again, rough ride and shit tyre economy, aswell as scraping arches and a seriously battered exhaust. Think it all outweighs the plus point of better stability.
Consider it lesson learned

The camber bolts can only be applied to the front wheels anyway. You will always get that wear on the rear if it's lowered.

You should have put uprated shocks on if you lowered it, it wouldnt have been so bad then. Scraping arches? How much is it lowered by? I have 17"'s on mine lowered and it doesn't scrape often only over deep harsh bumps.

The camber bolts would be fine and make the tyres last longer plus the rears don't wear half as much as the front, i'll be getting the bolts when I get new tyres.

Yea, rear is not a problem at all as the camber doesn't change with lowering (or if it does its a tiny amount).

Scraping happens over harsh bumps and when turning sharply. Good job they are plastic arches or i have a feeling i would have been forking out for new tyres a long time ago.
