the red cars exhuast finally went down in engerland last monday

I patched it to docs amusement, then by the tiem I got home it had blown that mofo away

the pipe where it enters the backbox doesn't look to good either

[img:567:378:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2002.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

big hole innit, on the c-types there is a bracket there

[img:567:378:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2003.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

cleaned up the pipe to silencer area, not to clever

went round the back looking for some metal to patch with, an old cat hetshield was my chosen thingy, I then chopped a bit out and belted it with a mallet to flatten it

[img:567:378:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2005.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

tried to clean up the pipe, more I cleaned the more vanished Laughing

anyway after flicking weld onto it as welding directly blew holes in the metal I got a patch on, fpmsl, it looks awful but it stayed on despite picking with a screwdriver

[img:567:378:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2007.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

same at the pipe to silencer split

[img:378:567:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2008.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

to finish off slap paste on it

[img:567:378:7ed6972319]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/red%20exh%20fix%2009.jpg[/img:7ed6972319]

back together and its silent! bodge but it worked! Its startign to fail again though, its done a few hundred miles since though.

I did go roudn and check the 16V back box but the pipe fitte dinside the 16V pipe, flange and all! So it can wait until the 16V system is put on when its turbo'd.
