Went to change me rear discs on the weekend, and I haven't got a socket big enough for the huugge bolt in the middle. What size is it? I'd guess either 29mm or 30mm but I don't really wanna guess cuz I need to get a socket that's the right size!

Also, I noticed in the haynes that is says this bolt should be replaced when you change the discs? Is this the usual haynes bullshit? Or is this right?

Any other things I should know about? All I got is discs & pads, and as far as I know, that's all I'm gonna need! No daft things that need replacing like that bolt or something?

Cheers guys

30mm, reuse the old nut

as long as you've got bearings in the discs, you're sorted.

dont forget to wind back the calipers as well, your new pads are of course thicker than the ones currently on the car

Also, since I know you have an executive, it's highly likely that you have ABS, and those discs don't have the ABS reluctor rings on them so it won't work. Sad

How much roughly should I be paying for the bearings then? Just been on GSF and they are £18 each. That seemed a bit steep to me!?

it is steep but tbh you wont get them any cheaper unless you keep watching ebay and hoping.

Bloody hell, we still on with the bearings / discs debate here?

If your buying bearings they may not come with the circlip (mine didn't), you'll have to reuse them from your old discs.

Why is everything so damn complicated on this car lol. Turboing my mate's prelude engine was probably easier than fitting my rear discs lol Rolling Eyes
