There was a TD 'executive' on eBay a while ago with leather and a trip - although if it was just the exectutive door cards / leather / dials nicked from a valver we'll never know.

We need to formulate a load of questions and send them to Renault. Like, did they ever manufactured a RHD swoopy dash!

ive already sent 1 to renault if it is possible to build a brand new 19 16v if i had the money, they said production has stopped on these cars,so we should just get a load of questions together and bombard them

LOL, they were hardly going to say yes to that are they? It would probably be cheaper to get an independant specialist to build one from scratch rather then Renault themselves, their production plants won't be geared to one off / niche production and besides there have been so many advances to the production lines since the early 90's that none of the original assembly equiptment probably even exists.

I recon you totally could re-build a R19 16v now for cheaper then it cost to buy one new at the time.

if you bought everything new then it would probably cost around 50 grand to build a 19 16V.

True, if you tried to get it from Renault - where it has probably been stored, bashed around, cast offs etc for years.

Using second hand parts and reconditioning them to 'as new', using aftermarket parts where appropriate making minor alterations including a new retrim and respray I recon it could be easily done for £7k before labour.

Certain things you'd have to get from Renault - new dials, window seals but a lot of parts could be used second hand as they are no worse off now then the day they were made - just for the sake of having 'new'.
