which ones!?!

the 16mm that holds the bracket to the 3rd hole in the manifold is normally so corroded it either snaps off or it rounds off and worn shift.

The heatsheild 10mm bolts are normally perfectly fine, I use a 1/4 inch halfords ratchet with a 6 inch extension atop a 6 face halfords deep socket.

The 13mm that goes through the bracket(s) into the rear of the starters normally ok, tighten this up before you tighten the 16mm starter bolts up fully.

The 2 13's that hold the winged bracket to the block are normally ok but on occasion they have sheared off.

The 16mm bolt that holds the base of the bracket above the sump is normally covered in oil so ok to undo, on the unusually clean engines it can be stuck solid though.

Maybe I am immune to the probs by the amount I have worked on them so know the tricks etc.

I do however have to take my hat off to those people that can remove the exhaust manifold with the head still in the car I struggle to get them off on the bench and usually have to drill through the side of the nuts to release them!

Yep well the 13mm bolt that goes into the manifold sheared off. Missing two bolt for the heatsheid. be taking the driveshaft out tomorrow to allow more room to fit the bastard. Then next job, the Alt and I change the oil, while is piss easy to get to the oil filter. There also shit load's of oil around the sump area. need to get the lump cleaned and find where it's coming from. Also the Gearbox was leaking while it was jacked up at a angle. Damm pain in the arse car.
