Hi!

I Have a 1.4 8V E7J Clio RTi :

At this moment, it is practically Stock, Only Induction KIT, CAT-OFF, engine debited in a MAHA 78.8Hp @) 51hp @ fly. In briefing I will go to mount some material that I am to join,e to prepare with the aid of a friend.

List of material to mount:
- SuperSprint 4-2-1 Exhaust Mainfold
- Laguna 1,8 SPI Trothle Bodie
- Headwork (Port & Polish, 45ª 3 Valve angle)
- New Cam Springs (Renault Orig.Stock Part)
- CAT-OFF
- Induction Kit

In search in some forums, nominated in UK, they had made some funny works in this engine, obtaining with Cam and Chip practically 120hp. Exactly not obtaining to get the Chip and obtaining to get cams of CAT CAMS, I do not go it to mount because i not to have CHIP.

It would like to get some stories on User's that had made or know these mods in this engine.

Which your opinion on these mods?

Personally, i'd say scrap the mods and slap a valver engine in it.

No point pootling around with a 1.4 8v if you ask me.

the engines respond well to headwork.

In some cases especially with the early straight port head you can achieve 10bhp gains.

10Hps with Port head...very good!

Maybe i can get some more juice from Polish and Angle valve work!

With my ported head there is a good gain. Pulls to 60 alot quicker, but will never have the top end power of a valver.

To Get more Power in Hi Rpm´s ,what is the better choice?

- Laguna 1.8 Trothle Bodie
or
- Clio/R19 Weber 32TDRL Double Corp Carb

With Stock ECU 6620Rpm ,but with Weber Carb´s , there it´s no Rev Limiter. But the question is...the end top Hp´s ...power after + 5000Rpm.

Thanks

So....
With the Laguna TB (38.5mm) , i will get more power (+ 3500/4000rpm... )compares to the Double Trothle Bodies of Weber Carb?

With the Orignal 1.4 TB (35.5)mm , the car runs good at 5000Rpm. more than that...

One question...

Can I running with Cam , without ECU Remap ?

I´am afraid to have poor Air Fuel Ratio at the end top power , because i will use the Laguna 1.8 TB, Headwork (with Modified Valves Angles) ...all mods to get more air intro the engine...

The Cam it´s from CAT CAMS , with this Specs :
Duration Duration Maximum lif t Lift at TDC
262 / 262° 225 / 225° 10.15 / 10.15mm 1.35 / 1.35mm
271 / 271° 233 / 233° 10.70 / 10.70mm 2.00 / 2.00mm

Thanks
