has anyone on here changed one before?

mine was leaking through the weep hole.

ive removed all the pump bolts except for 2, they are in ridiculous places to get to, just spent a full half hour trying to remove one bolt and failed.

i'm suprised my spanner isnt bent after throwing it the full length of the garage and up the wall.

ANY ADVICE?

first post in the right fecking section please.

Did you unscrew the pulley first? 3 13mm bolts, you unscrew this before undoing the pumps body screws.

How do you unscrew bolt on a rotating pulley? You crack them off before removing the aux belt.

undo the pulley, the lower the engine down off the top mount to get better access to the pump body bolts.

yeah, pulley is off.
the water pump is a funny shape, almost "L" shaped,
part of it goes under some sort of metal guard and its impossible to get to the bolts

just had another quick look.
looks like the guard i mentioned is actually some sort of bracket for the pwer steering pump.
Does the bracket come off or not?
