Does anyone know if a performance manifold exists for the mk1 1.8 8v Clio Rsi, i swear the pipes on the std one are about 1" accross.

Been on google most of the afternoon and can't find squat

no, but the pipes are plenty big enough, however sorting out the casting flaws and cack welding at the head flange can bring abotu rather good gains indeed.

what about boring out the original manifolds chris(both inlet and exhaust ??
i understand this also requires the head being bored to mate the manifolds but what would be the gains ?????

Whats cack welding?

...and what do you mean about casting imperfections, its a tubular manifold as opposed to a castone like the 1.8 16v.

Nore sure if you can bored out the exhaust manifold any more, but the inlet one i bet you could, and when the head is ported and polished it woudl be bored out to match the exhaust manifold

cack= shite, rubbish, gay, wank, inperfect, hideous, bollocks, shit, work experience effort etc

yeas casting flaws was a daft comment as liek you say its tubular and welded poorly.

also boring anything out, why do you want it slower?

So basically grind down the welds, that protrude, like the photo below, so give a smooth air flow?

ayes, the inlet does well to be opened up a tad as well.

the collector on the exhaist don't go to mad as its propbably already cracked and making it wafer thin won't help.
