Clocks??

I have a 1.4 energy, and it does not have a rev counter.

While i was down the scrapie earlier on today (to get a 16v spoiler - and i got it aswell) i mange to get some Phase 2 clocks. These have a rev counter on.

Will these connect up to my Phase 1??????

I know they are the same size shape etc, but will they connect to the exsisting wiring, and give me what i had, plus a rev counter.

I have been told that the loom is already there for the rev counter, so in theory it should work, right???

Any thoughts, or am i putting them on ebay.

I got a clockset out off a clio 1.8rt for my wifes 1.2 and all the wires were there and everything works fine, so you never know you might get lucky, is it a proper 16v set? if it is not sure about trip comp working Confused

should go matey.

If your ph1 is the earliest f/g/h plate and the very basic one the wires may not be there.

but most will have the wires

Also if the dash you had was the basic 2 gauge one (fuel ands speedo) then the engine loom may not have the oil level sender, the other wire for the temp gauge etc.

Bit more info about the dash already there and the age of your car will help.

R19, 1.4 Energy, GTS, 5 Door, Silver, 1989 F

The original clocks have (from left to right)

Speedo - Temperature - Oil level / Pressure - Petrol

2 lines of lights either side, with 2 lights either side of the middle square (blank square that is)

The temp and oil gauges work (so the cable must be there??) well, the oil pressure doesn't work, but that because i need a new sensor (stop wondering off topic Ben!)

I looked at the ignition module, and the connector on the right hand side (as you look at it) is empty. Is this a bad thing, or is the rev counter cable one of the others??

Is this enough info guys??

Any more needed, let me know.

Would be great if it does work, because i would like to have a rev counter (plus i spent Â£25 on it!!)

yes it will plug staright in. If you had mentioned it was a GTS earlier it would have helped.

Yes the wiring theres.

Oil pressure isn't plumbed in on anything except the 16V's.

Empty hole is used on other engines.
