 clutch cable

omfg i have snapped another clutch cable i replaced it 2 months ago just jump in and the peddel went 2 the floor checked the cable and its snapped any one ever had this happen before on a 19 16v

not if you use renault cables no.

yeah it was renault and i replaced the ajuster and pedel

routed wrongly most likely, where did it snap?

it snaped bout 8 inchs from the pedel i clipped it into the proper clip. they aint that hard to fit its just i have not long done it do u rekon that it will have parts warrenty

sounds like you never fitte dit right at the bulkhead. Its a tricky one.

As for warrenty nope its a fitting fault.

well im a mechanic and i no the boys at renault so do the d owarrenty if it aint a fittin fault cant see that it was fitted wrong as they told me i had 2 get all the tabs in around the bulk head

ok whatever. 8 inches from the pedal is where it goes through the bulkhead and where they snap when its a fitting fault. I replace them quite a lot.

well lately not often tbh as they are all done around here now!

Dunno must have done over 100 on the 19 abotu 20/30 on the clio which is even fooking worse.

if you can blag it then good stuff.

You need to get the tags clippe dinto the bulkhead fully, this is a pain in the arse, then the 1st clip on the bulkhead, depending on the cable version either clip it in or leave it uncliped. If it has the big ring before the clip clip it in, if it has it ont he clip or after leave it loose.

when i bought 1 last time it had a big weight on it the pld 1 didnt not sure wot (I mean what really) it is 4

bit weights there to damper harmonic vibrations to the pedal.

Load of pish, you don't need it. On later cables it never came with them there is a weight thats put on between the box and fork with a grub screw.

well thanks i will go try and get 1 from renault just got the rest of the week of not wot (I mean what really) i really wanted to do lol not too bad i suppose. i spect they will have to order it in cheers
