Ive played about with most sensors today...still no better.

Maybe someone can enlighten me - Whats the sensor on the radiator for?

there is a white plug, brown plug and a lower sensor on the thermostat housing...what are these ones? i assume one is the CTS...but not sure on the others?

Is this just gonna be a replace all sensors job until i fix the problem. Cant think what else its gonna be?

Really doing my head in!

Got my horn rewired today so at least im making some progress!

The rad sensor is the Fan temperature switch. The white one is CTS for the ECU And one of the others does the Dash temp display

Any ideas what my problem is then?

Engine is running fine so CTS shouldnt be the problem. Maybee its just the coolant temp gauge sensor that is fooked and so thats why my temp wanders about!

Strange thing is when its sat still (idle) and i leave it till the fan kicks in, and then goes off again, then temp gauge dosent fluctuate. It just stays constant. I think its something to do with the car moving!!

My car does the same by the way.

Managed to stop it once by a lot of pipe squeezing and bleeding, but came back when i had to drain and refill the system again.
I put it down to airlocks again, but who knows.

The car doesnt overheat though which is the main thing, so not much to worry about.
I'll try and sort it again when i get the chance.

If its that worrying, pay to get it vacuum filled, see if it works.

Ahh its no that worrying....but it seems strange that the temperature goes up and down. I thought it would be best if the engine ran at a constant temperature, not a fluctuating one.

I mite give you a shout at the weekend chris!
