I thought the Ford 1.8 16v was a 130bhp odd, and that was non- zetech too.

Ford Onion. Hmmmm.

no theres 2 tuypes, 105 and 130 PS efforts. As far as I can remember the only diff is the throttle body. the TB on this 105 version is tiny. Its a tad bigger than the 16V's 1st stage baby plate.

Its not that bad actually, pulls reasonably well, better than the 16V at lower rpms but thats obvious I suppose.

Its horrible though, the 16V out does it on everything pretty much.

the revs ion 5th are good, 90 in 5th in the ford is 3.5krpm which is the same as 70mph in 5th on the 19. Fords 4th is the same as the rens 5th.

Anyway its not bad under 80k still which is ok.

Its been standign for a while iunder trees, the guy I got it off broke his shoulder and is gettign a new kneee cap as well so the cars no use to him. Its a mates grandfather.

Already bought a new bulb for the back lights and hoovered out the interior which got rid of some of the old man smell.

Also the cossie box is way superior to it. But nowhere near as good as the old 4 speeder as found in the mk1/2 escorts.

needs a bloody good wash and blast with the pressure washer and the horn doesn't work and theres a lot of noise from the back end on the motorway but I think the exhaust blowing its hard to tell.

Still for £0 its a baragain!

yeah its not bad, wee bit of rust round the rear arches, hardly surprising, missing the bump strip on the front passenger wing. Aside from that it needs a new heatshiled and a good service.

After a thorough clean it will be a lot better.

some specs from the handbook on the beast.

My 105PS version

cc 1796
output DIN 105 PS @ 5500rpm
max continuous engine speed 5950rpm
max intermittent engine speed 6175rpm
top speed 116mph

130PS version

cc 1796
output DIN 130PS @ 6250rpm
max continuous engine speed 6700rpm
max intermittent engine speed 6925
top speed 126mph

Hmm so the 130PS revs higher and has more power.

So it would seem more than the TB is different maybe the ECU?

Anyone ken any decent ford dorums? Used to know some but they no longer there.

yep thats the plan, need TB and probably the ECU.

Need to see if thats all I need thats why I need links to ford forums, I used to go on them when I had fords but all my links are dead now.
