 Cutting out problem!!!!!!

I have a 19 valve cab and it will run fine and then it will cut out wont tick over and run really lumpy.
Then it will run ok again
iv change plugs,dizzy cap,rotor arm,2nd hand coil
ive been told it could b the ECU.
does any body av any ideas

its not the ECU, no doubt it was some complete idiot as usual that told you that.

ECU's don't just break, or decided to break now and then.

you need to give more info on the problem as you haven't given us much.

hi,
it will start and run ok then the idle starts reving up and down slighty (hunting) i think its called.then cut out will start again.i wd 40d all the leads round the new dizzy cap on electrical plugs and it went ok4 about a day then started running rough again.It does run and shift sound when its ok.(Head Battering)

well ignition is not a problem. I would go with lambda sensor or coolant temp sender fault.

How does it start from cold? And if it starts ok when cold does it run ok before its heated up?

it has been running fine but it seems to get worse when it is warm
but like i say its been ok 4 a bit now
so like u say it could,nt b the ECU or it run shitty all the time
so do u think it could the lambda

lambda will make the car surge under any sort of light loading. But themn again when the cars heated up thats only when the lambda sensor is aknowledged by the ECU. Unplug it and see how it goes when it next plays up.

it could be many things, CTS even crank angle sensor, also make sure the TPS connector is fully clicked home on the throttle body.

also make sure the map sensor pipe is ok and its connector is fully home and on the TPS make sure the arm isn't jammed at full throttle position like JB's was.
