I've been looking for a day or two for a front downpipe to fit to my phase 1 19 16v but I can't find one anywhere. Is it a main dealer only part? Has anyone else had this problem? Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Not what I wanted to hear but I suppose once it's done it's done. Besides I'm getting tired of having no power, not often a bit of a blowie dampens my spirits!!

where is it blowing?

Might just need a new manifold to downpipe gasket.

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only mate. The downpipe looks like sieve! Bought the car knowing the exhaust needed sorted but wasn't sure where to get the part.

There are holes big enough to fit your finger in!!

try welding the thing using parts from another exaust by cutting out the crappy section and replacing it with a good part.

it works for me Smile

all very well on a decent thickness bit of exhaust or energy downpipe.

The 16V is a funny shape and ather thing.

just end up blowing more holes in it

To be honest the whole system was a bit pants when I got the car but the backbox is a stainless scorpion unit and I managed to pick up a rear section for bugger all as a mate crashed his 16v before getting a chance to fit it. All going well so far as I've got a de-cat section from KTR on the way, all I need now is the downpipe but couldn't find it listed anywhere. I figure I've replaced most of it already so i don't really want to start welding in odd sections.

I had to replace the rear engine mount too and that was causing seperation between the sections. Unfortunately it wasn't just gaskets or anything so simple, it's what's technically known a fooekd.
