- How much would it cost to have dcoe manifold made up and where would be a good place to go?

- Whats the (rough) rev limit of a recker assembly before it'd go kaboom?

8K - interesting!

What'd be involved in removing/moving the rev limiter on the car? Its set at 6k atm which isn't much cop for doing mods - given the low cc capacity rpm would need to go up ideally...

well if your going for carb then its gone, you need to get soime sort of ignition set up though.
8k's a normal rev limit for most of them, its th resort of speed they can take day after day stock.

Hmm...i'd rather not go to that level of extremity TBH as carb is a step back mpg wise before all the pfaffing of getting a manifold made and buying the bits etc.

What i was hoping to do was just remove/up the limiter (as i know this can be done for 16vs) and have the map tweaked to cope with a flowed head and aftermarket cam (tho significantly more extreme than the one i had before).

The only issues i have is whether the cam would run on the std inlet given the extreme profile, have enough air and whether the ECU can be tweaked in this way.

If not then that means having a rethink....what do you reckon?
