Can't see anyone wanting to challenge me for it, but still!

The body on that is miles better than that of my current 19, and this one has half the mileage. So if I get this it will succeed H186 DKR.

Ben, I find it quite peculiar the way you have for so long shunned the idea of getting a 19 16v to replace your 1.4 ph1 as it has such strong sentimental value, looked into all sorts of conversions for it so you don't have to let it go, spent untold money on it to keep it on the road, but as soon as you see another car basically the same, you can't wait to swap it Confused

Well, I'm a freak mate!

Best answer I can come up with! The next best reason I can come up with is that the 1.4's go on forever, you can afford to invest some love in a 1.4 without worrying whether it'll be in a garage every other week for repairs!

Because the body on mine would cost circa £800 to be properly repaired and resprayed. It makes more sense to pick up a car like that with a good shell on it that's worth about a £100 and use that for the engine conversion!

Anyway I asked the seller what the reserve was and he said £350 but would sell for £300. Can't afford that at the minute.
