Well, its looks like the block from my DTI engine had had it. I'm trying to find out if the block off my 1.9 DTI is the same as the 1.9DTI. They look physically smilar, but im not sure. I've tried looking up the part number but don't seem to be able to find one?

Can somone look on theirs please? The plate numbers are B53K for the 19TD and BA08 for the Megane DTI.

Cheers

19 block 77 01 470 135
Megane block 77 01 470 235

However, it looks like the 19 part number includes the pistons, so that might account for the difference.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the DTI was the same bottom end as the F8/9Q, with a different head plonked on it.

Well, from what i've gathered and what you've said, i think the block is the same on the DT, DTI and DCI 1.9 engines, the Pistons are different on the DTI from the DT and the head is different (swirl chambers are in the pistons not the head) but i dont know how different the DCI is from the DTI apart from the injection rail/pump.
