yes the ph1's did

and no the plugs different.

But if you dig around in the dash where the existing clock wire is you may find the right plug for it.

digi clock lights up when the ignitions on along with the trip computer.

When you turn the headlights on the trip comp and clock dim slightly so as to not distract you when driving.

The ph1 is the superior machine.

why? The ph1 is the car with all the toys.

Exec has analogue clock, no trip comp and 5 doors.

ph1 hatch has digi clock, trip comp 3 doors, faster, handles better, looks better and its a mans car.

see i never got used to the idea of having a car with 3 doors for a start.

the only bit i dont like about he ph1 is the front end ,it looks weird .but all the rest looks much better than ph2 (skirts, rear bumber etc)

but then again these cars are old enough as they are , why not buy the youngest one available ????

thats chets latest murder victim. 1.4 16V bonnet and rear spoiler. at a glance could you tell it apart from a ph2 16V? Nope exactly.

Well thats good, the less sporty looking the better. I myself have been thinking of getting a 1.4 like yours for the 172 engine.

by the way, what 'toys' is the ph2 missing that the ph1 has?

I have headlight level adjusters (not working, but anyway... Smile), do you?

bumpers and lights dont count btw

LCD clock, funky seats, trip comp (all ph1's have em), better dials, less weight, better box its the superior machine. Ask Mad Pierre he now has a ph2 but his ph1 was much better he said.

Headlight adjusters are not needed. The ph1 lights are better than the ph2 lights.

Like mine? A ph1 1.4?
