The pull button thingy.. It seems to not want to move,( like me), but if you pull the little knob thing (this is getting out of hand) it works! There's plenty of lubrication on the rods etc. and all parts seem to slide easy,
(this is realy getting out of hand).
It's as if the motor has overrun?

right so the pull up button thingy isn't being pushed up by the locking solenoid?

As you probably know the pull button thingy goes down to a 90 degree plastic bit that then attaches to another rod that goes to the latch. Thsi plastic bit gets floppy causing toruble. Usually the pull up botton thingy doesn't pull up easily by hand. It usualy also prevents the door unlockign cos the solenoid tries to move it an dit doesn't go unless you pull the button thingy as well.

If you take the door card off sit in the car and try the locking whilst pressing the centre of the plastic bity in to mount it securly it will probably work fine, this means thats the prob.

Sometime sif you pop itout bend the tags back it will be fine, or you may have to drill it and fit a bolt and nut.

Unless I have missunderstood you.

Think i get what you mean, sounds as if you understood my description, I'll try that when i get five mins and let you know how it goes!
Cheers Chris.
ps. If you use philips screwdriver/ thin bar, you can lock the catch so you don't have to sit in the car with the door closed. ie push the screwdriver in where the catch on the body is. Sorry, teaching you to suck eggs eh?
tee hee.

Sat in the motor yesterday feeling very sorry for myself, right, got to do something positive, head for the house for a jar, brush and some engine cleaner. Sitting in each seat in turn i've cleaned all the bl**dy hinges, how sad can i get? The mrs gone apesh*t cos i got black gunk over those new trainers she bought me, returned and bought again, spilt the f*cking cleaner in the passenger footwell and absorbed the rest in the bandages on my Fekin fingers!
Hinges look bloody good though!
Stand up comedian? this is all part of every day life for me , I'm just bl**dy unlucky me!
