2 nuts, the passenger side one you can reach down and under from on top of the engine, the other one you need to get underneath with an extension.

a 1/2 is in between the two, if you start to have problems with them just bang that on and it should grip it fine.

I assume 16V?

You should know the studs can shear, dependign on where they shear dictates wether or not you need another manaifold!

I would leave as is tbh.

You can do the passenger side nut from the top like Neal says and you can get the other from underneath or through the drivers side wheel arch.

aye.

They also normally shear. Now if the bit where the nut attaches shears thats not a problem as you can normally get the stud out. But its normally flush with the flange they shear and they don't come out then.

Might just do a JB and take it to ATS to get em loosened. What size are they? 12mm?

13mm and I always use new nuts if they are not perfect.

Same 13mm thats found all over the car, so go to the scrappy for a couple from say the ignition module for the exhaust.

renault say they are special, I got one, its a normal nut thats been squashed a bit at the top to pinch the threads!

Use a normal one, I have yet to have one come undone.

ATS might shear them off still so be prepared for it. And it will not be cheap if you try and let them fix it for you.

Doesn't matter if they shear them off (well, it does) but as long as I can get the car home.

well if they shear them both off then your gonna be driving it totally unsilenced, lambda wont work either so it'll fuel funny and it will be very loud.

hmm, I thought it would, could try and get hold of some metal cable ties to try and hold it on and hope they last the 12 miles home.
