 downpipe to manifold removal?

Hiya guys taking an engine out of r19 16valve hatch, everything is off apart from the manifold to downpipe nuts they have rounded off;-(

any sugestions only thing i can think of is too get an angle griner and gring exhaust in half, any one else had this problem?

yeah it's common, but you can still get the engine out with the downpipe attached

god knows how u would remove the engine from the top ewth downpipe conected!!! we got a disk cutter on it;-) i hope this doesnt happen on my other car as i neeed that exhaust;_)

you just tilt the engine back a bit, its tricky but more than possible.

Did you cut the 100 quid downpipe?

they cut the £100 downpipe in all fareness who is guna buy it off me evan if it wasnt cut?

im guna cry if sumone actually wantd as i intend to sell everything off that car i can;-(

they corrode where the heatshield goes and you can normally get 20 - 30 quid for em.
