 E7J head- k7m bottom end

My little 1.4 maxim has started to smoke a bit and i have a k7m knocking around,wondered if any one has done this mod before.Ive had people say stick a 16v in it or 5 turbo lump but i would like to try this way as i have all the parts to hand.Any help would be appreciated. Very Happy Very Happy

Search on Cliosport for it.

What help do you need exactly?

I'm told it will fit.

hi finch,looking for info on any machine work needed,which head gasket to use (1.4/1.6) which head bolts,anything extra that might be needed to complete.

well the 1.6 bottom end will go, used the 1.6 head gasket and get an early striaght port 1.4 head not the maxim piece of shite.

Chris do you know which phase / year of clio the straight port head was used on?

Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Upto 1996, the ones with the square lights and the indicators seperate from the headlights. Not the round shaped ones.

Ok so does this account for the 5hp drop in power with phase 3 energy engines then?
