My little 1.4 maxim has started to smoke a bit and i have a k7m knocking around,wondered if any one has done this mod before.Ive had people say stick a 16v in it or 5 turbo lump but i would like to try this way as i have all the parts to hand.Any help would be appreciated.  |

hi finch,looking for info on any machine work needed,which head gasket to use (1.4/1.6) which head bolts,anything extra that might be needed to complete. |

well the 1.6 bottom end will go, used the 1.6 head gasket and get an early striaght port 1.4 head not the maxim piece of shite. |

Chris do you know which phase / year of clio the straight port head was used on? |

Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Upto 1996, the ones with the square lights and the indicators seperate from the headlights. Not the round shaped ones. |
