hi, got a slight prpblem with my 19 16v the ting wont bloody start!!
its definatly getting fuel as i can hear the pump and feel it moving in the lines, im pritty sure its getting air so its not sparking, the coil seems to be ok, as when its on 3rd click the needle jumps, i havernt tried taking a plug out and tesing it on the head (for a spark)as the car is about 1/2 a mile away from my house! i will try this when its been towed home,
oh, other than the above i havernt a clue what it is but ill metion other problems which may be related, the starter moter is making allot of noise but its been doing that for a while, normally starts the car over fine and is still turning the engine over 100%, im hot wireing it at the mommet as i have lost my keys!

this is how the engine stoped i was trying to pull a hand brke turn and the engine stopped, no its a no go engine, hope you can hel[p me out as ive tried most things. oh and it aint the standard imobiliser thingy.
cheers
alex.

may be you should learn to drive properly instead of messing with handbrake turns etc.

theresa broken wire/loose connection somewhere.

Trying to handbrake it shifts the engine and it will have pulled the wire/connector apart.

When your being towed see if it'll bump start.

well i found the problem to firstly be the coil had just seemed to have packed up and that the main HT coming off the coil to the dissy had sort of become lose on the coil coneection, anyway its fine now as ive swaped the ht lead and coil from the clio so its all ok!

anyway i was in a small carpark and i couldnt be arsed doing a 18point turn so i just swung the back end around, like a pro i should add!
cheers

glad you sorted the problem out that easy ,a miscalculated pro handbrake turn could have cost you more than that especially in a small car park as you say .you must have some luck

I'm surprised he even managed to handbrake the thing, the rear disc efforts are cack for handbraking!

My coils playing up to at the moment.

even on gravel mine only sometimes does it and then usually only 1 wheel.

The drum brake cars are mint for it.
