Im on the virge of buying a 1.9 DTI engine from a 2000plate laguna. Im hoping to get it in to the 19.

Now...mechanically there isnt a problem as it uses the same block, so all the engine mounts are the same and it will mate raight up to my 19's gearbox so shafts and speedo arent a problem.

The main problem i think i can see if connecting the rest of the wiring, from the ECU to the sensors and relays 'should' be easy enough, its just getting power to the ECU and the wiring to the ignition etc and possibly overcoming the immobiliser if there is one.

I realise this is a very open ended question, but does anyone have any experience with this? I think mick does? Just looking for some general hints and pointers to I can actually pull this one off.

Cheers

right if you have the full loom for the engine then thats good news. The ECU etc is mounted in the same place as the 19.

Main problem like you say is getting the ECU powered up. You need to get something sorted out to get the ECU to power on, the immob isn't coded the BIC is coded so it just needs a power feed and it shoudl go.
