since the insides of the box on my current (custom) exhaust has collapsed, i'm looking for a new cat-back system.. i'd like it to be less restrictive than original, stainless and not too noisy/loud.. good fitment/build quality is also important, i hate rattling, etc..

any good suggestions?

the original system isn't restrictive, its actually very good.

Onyl reason they feel better is people replace knackere doriginal ones with collapsed baffles with new ones and they feel a lot better.

so an original renault one is the best bet, altho it's not stainless?

i think an original one is very expensive though... and aftermarket "regular" exhaust are prolly pretty crappy, or?

last time my car was on a dyno, the torque kept increasing all the way up to almost 6000 rpms (normally peaks around 4250), so i actually thought that it was because of a less restrictive exhaust (can't be IK alone)....

original renault is best with a decat.

The aftermarket non ren gear is pish tbh.

oe ren is Bosal btw.

Engines vary, the Ik frees the engine up a lot, its surprising what it gives.

im thinking of having a pipe made from OEM downpipe to OEM Renault back box to take the cat and silencer box away but keep the standard look,

my 1st question is, is this a silly idea?

and my 2nd is will i be really loud as i dont want a stupidly loud system?

as we're talking exhausts... Razz

it's not a stupid idea, but for the money you could picp up a nice ss system on the bay, so it may not be cost effective.

no it wont be really loud although it will be "louder" than it was.

its like 200-250 for one to be made so like 80 for the pipe from downpipe to back box, and the back box is brand new so i wanna keep it
