Has anyone done it?

I would like to see (and hear of course) how it performs...

I think it's pretty much possible, with some Merc C200 kompressor and Corrado G60 parts...similar ccm...

Thoughts anyone?

I know turbo gets more HP, but compressor sound better and you could probably drive faster with constant pull from 0 rpm and without turbo kicks...

yes its been done but total waste of time, turbos much better and if you do it properly a turbo is there all the time.

loss of ower steering brackets to move the alternator, fabrication of inlet manifold, mounting of the charger and so on.

Turbo is a far simpler job, better fuel economy and more ultimate power.

Main problem, is building the engine correctly and mapping it right to make sure it runs at its peak.

Chargers sap a lot of power as well, to get more low down power you have to turn it faster at idle, this means it overpumps at higher revs and puts more hgeat into the charge which isn't what you want.
